Health Canada now requires all cosmetic companies to advise their customers of potential fragrance related allergens that are contained in their products at certain concentrations. This allows consumers to identify ingredients to which they may be allergic or sensitive, or wish to avoid, helping them make more informed health decisions regarding product purchase and use.

We do not use fragrance oils in any of our products, therefore you will never see the term "fragrance" or "parfum" in our ingredient lists. This does make our job easier than other makers who use fragrance oils as these tend to contain more of these potential allergens than essential oils. 

Some essential oils do still contain potential allergens that are contained within Health Canada's list of fragrance allergens - so any of the allergens listed below are contained within the essential oils that are used to scent our products.

Why We Use It

Our Bubble Bath is a water based formula - and where there is water, there is life. Life is something we do not want in our bath + body products, therefore a preservative is required to protect this formula from mold and bacteria. We have chosen Geogard ECT, which works well in aqueous formulas and is considered to be a natural preservative and ECOCERT approved.

Our Bubble Bath is definitely thinner in consistency compared to other bubble baths that come out more gel like.

In our formulating phase, we included different thickeners and we found that to find a thickener that really worked well, we it had to be a synthetic product - so then we assessed how important it was to thicken the bubble bath. The viscosity of the bubble bath does not affect its performance so we decided it wasn't that important.

In keeping inline with Minimal + Mindful ingredients - we wanted to keep this bubble bath more on the natural side so we felt leaving the thickener out would be best.

Yes absolutely.

My two year old granddaughter uses the creamsicle every night at bath time. The essential oil concentration is light in this formula and the surfactants used are gentle enough for delicate skin.
