We have removed all essential oils from this formula to keep this as skin friendly and natural as possible and also created a less greasy formula!

  • Using your finger, break the seal of the product by pushing down. This will allow you to scoop it out of the tin. The product will be harder in a cooler environment or softer in a warmer environment
  • Apply to hands, nails, cuticles - can also be used on the lips, cracked heels and feet and other areas of dryness. 
  • Super Balm is designed for smaller areas of the body to target dry and chapped skin - not for an all over body treatment

Health Canada now requires all cosmetic companies to advise their customers of potential fragrance related allergens that are contained in their products at certain concentrations. We do not use fragrance oils in any of our products, therefore you will never see the term "fragrance" or "parfum" in our ingredient lists. This does make our job easier than other makers who use fragrance oils as these tend to contain more of these potential allergens than essential oils.

Sweet Almond Oil is a highly emollient, nutrient-rich oil that hydrates + softens the skin. It is rich in Vitamin E, fatty acids, and antioxidants, making it excellent for soothing dry + sensitive skin. It is lightweight and non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores. Sweet Almond Oil is one of our most commonly used carrier oils in our products.

Beeswax acts as a natural, breathable, and protective emollient that seals in moisture without clogging pores. Why We Use It

Argan Oil is one of the most lightweight, non-greasy oils that is emollient rich in Vitamin E, essential fatty acids (omega-6/9), and antioxidants that deeply hydrate, nourish, and repair the skin. It improves elasticity, reduces inflammation, and absorbs quickly, making it ideal for our Super Balm formulation.

Why We Use It

Coco Caprylate is an ECOCERT approved smooth spreading plant based emollient derived from coconuts that we add to products to improve how quickly and easily the product is absorbed to the skin. Without this ingredient in some of our formulas, carrier oils alone can sit on top of the skin and leave a greasy skin feel. It also helps products spread nicely across the skin without drag. This is a high quality and very expensive ingredient but one that is well worth adding as an alternative to synthetic silicones.

Why We Use It

Mango Butter is highly emollient, non-comedogenic, and nutrient-dense fat derived from mango seeds, rich in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as fatty acids. It deeply moisturizes, boosts skin elasticity, reduces inflammation, and acts as an antioxidant to fight free radical damage. Its lightweight, non-greasy texture works well on all skin types. A lovely ingredient for the hands, feet and lips.

Why We Use It

Raspberry Seed Oil provides deep nourishment without a heavy, greasy residue. Its high concentration of essential fatty acids (specifically omega-3 and omega-6) and antioxidants makes it ideal for repairing, protecting, and calming dry, overworked, or irritated skin.

You can use Super Balm anywhere on your skin that needs a little extra TLC. We find hands + cuticles are a great place to start. Use Super Balm on cracked heels and dry feet - a friend of mine said this should be marketed to prepare your feet for flip flop season! We also love to use Super Balm as a lip balm - particularly the mini size that fits perfectly in your pocket.

The product may seem initially hard in the container. Please be patient with this as it will soften up over time as you continue to dip your fingers in.

For the first use, it is best if the product is on the warmer side - take your finger and push down on the top of the balm and break the seal. As your warm fingers dip into the bal it will begin to soften up and as you spread it on the desired area, it will start to melt down and soak in.

Super Balm is designed for smaller areas of the body - more of a spot treatment than an all over body application. Give it a few minutes to soak in before you begin to handle objects.

Great question. We made the decision to remove essential oils out of this formula to keep this as natural as possible - it honestly doesn't get any more natural than this product. Many customers use this product to treat very dry skin and we found many of them were at risk from irritation from the essential oils we normally scent our products with.

Yes. This product is 100% natural with no fragrance allergens or essential oils. There is no preservative because this is an oil based product - freshness is maintained with the use of an anti-oxidant - in this case Vitamin E Oil. No hidden ingredients just pure and natural skin hydration.

Our Cuticle Oil is another product that pairs well with Super Balm - also available in a Cuticle Pen applicator.

Anyone looking for an all natural balm that is safe for sensitive and very dry skin - this is the balm for you. We love that it is multi-purpose to handle those stubborn areas of dryness. We think you will love it as a lip balm and find the mini size perfect for on the go.
