Health Canada now requires all cosmetic companies to advise their customers of potential fragrance related allergens that are contained in their products at certain concentrations. This allows consumers to identify ingredients to which they may be allergic or sensitive, or wish to avoid, helping them make more informed health decisions regarding product purchase and use.

We do not use fragrance oils in any of our products, therefore you will never see the term "fragrance" or "parfum" in our ingredient lists. This does make our job easier than other makers who use fragrance oils as these tend to contain more of these potential allergens than essential oils. 

Some essential oils do still contain potential allergens that are contained within Health Canada's list of fragrance allergens - so any of the allergens listed below are contained within the essential oils that are used to scent our products.

Why We Use It

Our She Shave Gel is a water based formula - and where there is water, there is life. Life is something we do not want in our bath + body products, therefore a preservative is required to protect this formula from mold and bacteria. We have chosen Geogard ECT, which works well in aqueous formulas and is considered to be a natural preservative and ECOCERT approved.

Our potent and concentrated essential oils and menthol combine to provide a strong and lovely scent in your shower. It mixes with the hot shower water and steam created naturally to product a lovely mist that replaces a traditional shower steamer.

Our bottle of Shower Steamer Spray will last considerably longer than traditional shower steamers that will typically dissolve away in the water in a couple of uses. Our Shower Steamer Spray is also less messy. We also find that you have more control over the strength of the scent as you can simply spray more or less to control this where a traditional steamer doesn't have the same option.

We still offer both options for our customers. Our Shower Steamers tend to make a better gift and are slightly less expensive. Shower Steamers can be easily packed for travel.

Not at this time.

We do not recommend either of these options. We have a strong concentration of essential oils and menthol which is not skin safe and would be considered too strong for a room spray. The water from the shower ensures that the strength of the essential oils are washed away.
